We’re looking for a junior marketing specialist with a strong visual eye and dynamite writing skills who will be responsible for creation, execution, and implementation of digital and social media campaigns. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously across ad and social platforms. As the marketing specialist, you will be working with the communications and digital team to set, measure, and achieve goals through development of engaging content for strategic communications management plans.


Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with communications and digital teams to develops strategic production calendars, own updates to the calendar, and ensure that it is widely used and current

  • Active involvement in planning and strategy. Understand projects and client needs inside and out

  • Through research and analysis, proactively create and deliver content based on client’s demographics and audience requirements

  • Write clear, persuasive marketing copy that meets both promotional and brand objectives, ensuring consistent quality and tone

  • Writing for press releases, media alerts, blogs, and overall storytelling channels illustrating strong communications skills in the AP style of writing

  • Work with team to establish keyword, hashtag, and brand strategies. Monitor and implement strategies across platforms

  • Monitor all channels and take appropriate measures to ensure that any replies, comments, and messaging are answered

  • Manage strategic and day-to-day contact on projects across teams and clients to ensure alignment on content strategies, approval structures, and understanding of deliverables

  • Identify and implement core project management tools for coordination. Develop or adjust processes, as needed, to improve efficiency

  • Provide key metrics and milestones for meeting measurable goals

  • Identify when requests from clients may be out of scope, creation of change orders, and coordinate with team on development of new scopes

  • Monitor the overall efforts from kickoff to completion

Requirements

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment

  • Experience managing several projects at once

  • Confidence in overseeing and managing projects on the daily, weekly, monthly

  • Knowledge of the AP style of writing

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs, Google Analytics for data manipulation and reporting

  • Experience in press releases and media relations

  • Knowledge of Facebook Business and Ad’s manager, and Facebook Ads

  • Knowledge of Instagram Ads

  • Familiarity with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat content and posting

  • Knowledge of AdWords and Analytics

  • Knowledge of SEO strategies and methodology

Additional skills (not required)

  • Familiarity with international social media channels (not required, but a plus!)

  • Photography, Videography, and editing skills

  • Event Planning and execution
